Currently, in our Portland, OR office, we are looking to recruit a MECHANIC to perform repairs on construction heavy equipment (i.e. sweepers, milling machines, road striping equipment, propane and diesel fired heaters, etc.)


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Repairs and maintains equipment of various types and sizes from light-duty to OTR trucks and from light-duty to heavy-duty operating equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions as they arise
  • Perform preventative maintenance following operations manuals as well as electrical and hydraulic diagrams
  • Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance when used
  • Fabricate, weld and cut parts, using arc-welding/ wire feed and flame cutting equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
  • Ability to work safely and follow established company safety policies
  • Perform related and other duties as requested


Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Valid Class A Driver's License preferred and a clean driving record is a must
  • Must be able to pass the pre-employment drug screening and a background check
  • Must be self-starter; ability to prioritize
  • Must have experience with diesel engines and hydraulics
  • Must have a manual-hand-finger dexterity
  • Must have eye-hand-foot coordination
  • Must be able to lift and/or transport +50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in internal/external environments that may be in harsh weather conditions
  • Exhibit teamwork
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Ability to do some light traveling
  • Must own your own tools; specialty tools are provided

Working Conditions outdoors; some local traveling. Exposure to various weather conditions, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials such as solvents, adhesives, paints, hot oil and other chemicals.


10hr+ work days / 40hr+ work weeks (as needed-can include late nights/weekends).
